What is operating system

An operating system plays an important role in the use of computers. It prepares a bare machine to be used for users.

In other words, an operating system works as an interface between the computer and the user. The operating system enables the user to effectively access system resources and access many other programs. The Windows operating system provides users an icon-based interface and they can use the mouse to perform many operations.

An operating system is software and is the most important program to run on your computer.

It manages all other programs on the machine. Each PC should have one to run other apps or programs.

This is the first thing "loaded".

It does basic tasks, such as sending out output on the monitor, keeping track of files and directories on the disk operating system. And controlling peripheral devices such as disk drives and printers.

Real-time operating system 

Its main purpose is to provide the user with a strong Response time. These systems are used to control machinery, biotechnology devices. There is less user interference in it, and the result of a program is used as input data in another program. An important part of the real-time operating system is that a particular operation is completed in a certain time, otherwise the next program will have an error.

Batch processing operating system

The batch processing system contains all work groups. That is, the operating system works on a priority basis without user interference in all working groups. Then that system is called batch processing system. Like payroll, billing etc.

Multitasking  operating system

In such systems, more than one program or work is operating by the operating system simultaneously.

Every task is given a certain time of CPU which is called time slain.

Single tasking operating system

In this type of operating system, only one user can effectively perform the same tasks at one time.
